Towing a Manual Transmission 2009 Mini Cooper (R56)

Why a Mini

A manual Mini typically weighs less than 3000#, so an auxilary braking system is not required in all states except Mississippi! However one can be relatively easily installed and operated.

An automatic Mini, or any other automatic vehicle needs either a special mod to the transmission, or must be towed either on a dolly ( front wheel only drive) or on a trailer if 4wd.

What is needed
